PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE REZONE REQUEST FOR THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 1196 EAST AND 1198 EAST 1450 SOUTH (09-22-0033, 09-22-0019, & 09-022-0162) FROM R-1-9 (RESIDENTIAL) TO C-2 (COMMERCIAL) BACKGROUND: The applicant, Robert Hill, is a real estate broker with Golden Spike Realty who will be marketing the dsubject properties on behalf of the respective owners. The rezone request is to change the zoning of the properties from R-1-9 (Residential) to C-2 (Commercial). The C-2 (Commercial) Zone would allow for commercial use of the properties, subject to the land use regulations in the Clearfield City Municipal Code. RECOMMENDATION: Receive public comment.

4. OPEN COMMENT PERIOD The Open Comment Period provides an opportunity to address the Mayor and City Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their names for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Recorder at nancy.dean@clearfieldcity.org. The Mayor and City Council encourage civil discourse for everyone who participates in the meeting.

CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE 2023-20 REZONING THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 1196 EAST AND 1198 EAST 1450 SOUTH (09-022-0033, 09-022-0019, & 09-022-0162) FROM R-1-9 (RESIDENTIAL) TO C-2 (COMMERCIAL) AND AMENDING THE CLEARFIELD CITY ZONING MAP ACCORDINGLY RECOMMENDATION: Approve Ordinance 2023-20 rezoning the properties located at approximately 1196 East and 1198 East 1450 South (09-022-0033, 09-022-0019, & 09-022-0162) from R-1-9 (Residential) to C-2 (Commercial), amending the Clearfield City Zoning Map accordingly, and authorize the Mayor’s signature to any necessary documents.
