SCHEDULED ITEMS:

3. OPEN COMMENT PERIOD The Open Comment Period provides an opportunity to address the Mayor and City Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their names for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Recorder at nancy.dean@clearfieldcity.org. The Mayor and City Council encourage civil discourse for everyone who participates in the meeting.

4. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AND CONSENT TO THE MAYOR’S PROPOSED RE-APPOINTMENT OF JAYLEE BOUWHUIS AS THE YOUTH COMMISSION AMBASSADOR TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION BACKGROUND: According to the Planning Commission Rules and Regulations (Revised 4/15/2020), a Youth Commissioner may be appointed to the Planning Commission as a Youth Commission Ambassador. The term length is one (1) year with a maximum of two (2) years if reappointed. Jaylee Bouwhuis was appointed as the Youth Commission Ambassador in June 2023. The mayor recommends Jaylee Bouwhuis be reappointed as the Youth Commission Ambassador to the Planning Commission with her term expiring in June 2025.  RECOMMENDATION: Approve and consent to the mayor’s reappointment of Jaylee Bouwhuis as the Youth Commission Ambassador to the Planning Commission with a start date of June 2024 and a term expiration date of June 2025; and authorize the mayor’s signature to any necessary documents.
